Online, almost every image is edited, and almost none of them looks like it. Surreal makes that edit visible. Familiar silhouettes are shifted, materials are used against their purpose, details sit where you do not expect them. Not everything is the way it looks online.

Souly × TIMPHILIP

Stage pieces, 2024

I wrote to the rapper Souly on Instagram and asked if I could make him a stage outfit. He answered within days. I sent sketches, he liked them, and I made the pieces in the studio. We met at his concert in Dortmund, where I handed them over. A small reminder that it is worth just asking.

Made during a time of heartbreak. LSD brings together two worlds that seem to exclude each other, heartbreak and desire. One touches the deepest hurt, the other is passion and longing, and the collection moves in the tension between them. Sometimes the strongest feelings sit closer together than we think.
